On June 19, 2011, Seattle held a SlutWalk.  The SlutWalk protest marches began on April 3, 2011, in Toronto, Canada in response to a police officers' flippant comment that women should stop dressing like "sluts" if they want to avoid being raped or victimized.  In SlutWalk marches, men and women denounce "slut-shaming" found in the shaming of female sexuality and the degrading of sexual assault victims.
