Call to Action for Port Militarization Resistance in Tacoma NOW!author: PMR USNS Brittin is now unloading returning Strykers from the 4th Brigade stationed at Ft. Lewis. We need you to help resist the Port of Tacoma from being a revolving door for the war in Iraq NOW!
Port Militarization Resistance is a tactic to end the war by resisting military shipments via public infrastructure by regional organizations and individuals.

You might try posting this info on the Seattle PI website. They have the protest mentioned in their Protest du Jour section and, of course, the typical liberal and conversative rants. Use the corporate media to spread the revolutionary message that we demand an end to the war and we're not willing to wait for elections and politicians to do it.

I want to go. What kind of "action" are we talking about? What should I bring?
Posted by: stupid liberal at Jul 31, 2008 14:14
You "activist" morons DO REALIZE that the military is WITHDRAWING this equipment (and troops) from Iraq, right? They are bringing troops and equipment HOME, back from the war.
You dumbasses are actually trying to STOP them from gradually leaving Iraq.
Is there something in the water up here that turns people into the most idiotic, busybody, nanny-state-loving, can't-use-critical-thinking "progressives" on Earth?
I am totally against the war, but you people are just making yourself look like TOTAL RETARDS by trying to stop the military from withdrawing from Iraq... the very thing you supposedly want!!!!

Please note: "help resist the Port of Tacoma from
BEING A REVOLVING DOOR for the war in Iraq". The equipment will come back only to go back out again.

they don't care which way the strykers are moving, they "will just be sent back out..." ah so you see, there is the rub.
Ideology over pragmatic view of the world. Facts don't matter. Ideology is all!!!
Some people can't distinguish righteous mahem from genocide. They see some neocon excess and fail to realize there are places and targets that should be getting a larger dose of it. My objection is just that. The get out of hell cards they seem to be passing out all the while persuing the sham war on terror. This is a dead end of course, this week most of the not yet braindead or castrated Republicans, and a bunch of foreigners and REAL Regan atny gens have steped out of the coalition of intimidated and shocked.
Now if the "left" would only get so awake, as opposed to the jacked up overreactive idiocy they are so addicted to.
Wouldnt it be a sight? on the left cross we have OBL, founder of alQaida, on the right cross we have that cleric beast. In the middle, the instigator in chief of the indiscriminate slaughter, George B. Tomorrow, see the feeding of the lions, Neo-con henchmen will verbally fend off lions who have not eaten in 3 days and nights.....
One can dream.
Keeping your powder dry ?

My ideology is: I oppose this war at all points of the process.
So I will be seeing you later!

...unless you get serious!
Fact: Congress is impotent.
Fact: The anti-war movement is even MORE impotent.
Fact: The Oly Port Protesters are the ONLY effective ones now; and they are only marginally effective.
Only a strategy of protracted guerilla warfare (partnered with an on-going general strike and massive civil disobedience) can halt the U.S. military.
We need to stop thinking like privileged petit-bourgeois Americans and start thinking like Iraqi insurgents: those with nothing to lose but their chains. Right now, they are the most effective force against U.S. imperialism anywhere in the world (I challenge any of you to prove differently).
Then, and only then, will we make progress on ending this war (and kkkapitalism itself).
Talk is cheap! Slay your enemies or shut up and stay home!

The folks who serve this country follow orders of the officials that you elect. Why are you not protesting the officials? Which representatives office are you marching outside of? Are these Strikers returning to the Washington State National Guard to be ready for your next natural disaster? It appears as if the call to protest is being made because you found something local and close (in other words, easy) and not necessarily productive. Please support the troops who are performing a duty that you have ordered them to accomplish and protest November 4th. (We The People)
