SCHOLARS AFFIRM CHENEY COMPLICITY IN 9/11 Experts conclude Vice President possessed foreknowledge and suggest Moussaoui trial a "distraction"

Duluth, MN (PRWEB) March 12, 2006--A society of experts and scholars contends that the prosecution of Zacarias Moussaoui--for willfully concealing advance knowledge of the events of 9/11--has the status of a Soviet-style "show trial" and functions as a diversion from the real culprits. The nonpartisan group, Scholars for 9/11 Truth, asserts that the evidence implicating Vice President Dick Cheney of that very offense is more obvious and compelling. If they are even remotely correct, then the alleged terrorists appear to have been cast in the role of "patsies."

The experts base their conclusion on testimony presented to the 9/11 Commission by U.S. Secretary of Transportation Norman Mineta on May 23, 2003, which was omitted from its final report, and on related events at the Pentagon. Members of the society will present their findings during a press conference to be held at 1 PM on Tuesday at the United States Courthouse in Alexandria, VA, the location of a trial to determine whether Moussaoui, who is called "the 20th hijacker", should serve a life term or receive the death sentence.

"Mineta's testimony is devastating," observed James H. Fetzer, Ph.D., McKnight Professor at the University of Minnesota. Fetzer is the founder and co-chair of the scholars' society, which recently joined with Judicial Watch in calling for release of documents, films and videos, and physical evidence withheld from the public by the administration. "It pulls the plug on the Commission's contention there was no advance warning that the Pentagon was going to be hit."

According to Secretary Mineta's testimony, which is in the public domain, when he (Mineta) arrived at an underground bunker at the White House (known as the Presidential Emergency Operations Center), the Vice President was in charge. "During the time that the airplane was coming in to the Pentagon", he stated, "there was a young man who would come in and say to the Vice President, 'The plane is 50 miles out.' 'The plane is 30 miles out.'

"And when it got down to, 'The plane is 10 miles out,'" Mineta continued, "the young man also said to the Vice President, 'Do the orders still stand?' And the Vice President turned and whipped his neck around and said, 'Of course the orders still stand. Have you heard anything to the contrary?'" One way to construe these remarks could be that the orders were to shoot down the plane.

The scholars suggest that that is an implausible interpretation. The Pentagon, they observe, may be the most heavily defended building in the world. If the orders had been to "shoot it down," then no doubt it would have been shot down. Moreover, there would have been no apparent reason for the young man to have expressed concern over whether or not "the orders still stand." Shooting it down, under the circumstances, would have been the thing to do.

"The only reasonable interpretation of the orders," Fetzer observed, "is that the incoming aircraft should not be shot down, which would have been an obvious source of anxiety for an aide. Since it contradicts the official story about the Pentagon," he added, "it had to be suppressed and was not even included in The 9/11 Commission Report." And other scholars, including Professor David Ray Griffin of Claremont Graduate University, have drawn the same conclusion.

Back on Friday, June 12, 2002, the Defense Department had a big problem: Its new policy on torture of captives in the "war on terror" was about to be exposed. John Walker Lindh, the young Californian captured in Afghanistan in December 2001 and touted by John Ashcroft as an "American Taliban," was scheduled to take the stand the following Monday in an evidence suppression hearing regarding a confession he had signed. There he would tell, under oath, about how he signed the document only after being tortured for days by US soldiers. Federal District Judge T.S. Ellis had already said he was likely to allow Lindh, at trial, to put on the stand military officers and even Guantánamo detainees who were witnesses to or participants in his alleged abuse.

The Defense Department, which we now know had in late 2001 begun a secret, presidentially approved program of torture of Afghan and Al Qaeda captives at Bagram Air Base and other locations, had made it clear to the Justice Department that it wanted the suppression hearing blocked. American torture at that point was still just a troubling rumor, and the Bush Administration clearly wanted to keep it that way. Accordingly, Michael Chertoff, who as head of the Justice Department's criminal division was overseeing all the department's terrorism prosecutions, had his prosecution team offer a deal. All the serious charges against Lindh--terrorism, attempted murder, conspiracy to kill Americans, etc.--would be dropped and he could plead guilty just to the technical charges of "providing assistance" to an "enemy of the U.S." and of "carrying a weapon." Lindh, whose attorneys dreaded his facing trial in one of the most conservative court districts in the country on the first anniversary of 9/11, had to accept a stiff twenty-year sentence, but that was half what he faced if convicted on those two minor charges alone.

But Chertoff went further, according to one of Lindh's attorneys, George Harris. Chertoff (now an appeals court judge in New Jersey) demanded--reportedly at Defense Department insistence, according to what defense attorneys were told--that Lindh sign a statement swearing he had "not been intentionally mistreated" by his US captors and waiving any future right to claim mistreatment or torture. Further, Chertoff attached a "special administrative measure," essentially a gag order, barring Lindh from talking about his experience for the duration of his sentence.

We have a panel in the Quadrennial Defense Review on this subject. We have met with it twice in the last two weeks. We're obviously going to have to meet with it again. As you know, the Department of Defense really is not in charge of its civilian workforce, in a certain sense. It's the OPM, or Office of Personnel management, I guess. There are all kinds of long- standing rules and regulations about what you can do and what you can't do. I know Dr. Zakheim's been trying to hire CPAs because the financial systems of the department are so snarled up that we can't account for some $2.6 trillion in transactions that exist, if that's believable. And yet we're told that we can't hire CPAs to help untangle it in many respects.

So it's a big problem, and you're quite right it is an aging civilian workforce, they tell me, technically. They all look young to me. (Laughter.) But the fact is that some 40 or 50 percent are going to be eligible for retirement in the next five or six years, I'm told, and we simply have got to find ways that we can be deft and flexible enough so that we can attract and retain the kinds of people that are going to be needed for a very different civilian population in the Pentagon over the next 20 years compared to the past 20.

5) October 7, 2002 in a speech in Ohio, Bush said: "We've also discovered through intelligence that Iraq has a growing fleet of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles that could be used to disperse chemical or biological weapons across broad areas. We're concerned that Iraq is exploring ways of using these UAVS for missions targeting the United States."

6) December 12, 2003 in the newspaper Florida Today: U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson said the Bush administration last year told him and 75 other senators that Iraq not only had weapons of mass destruction, but they had the means to deliver them to East Coast cities. Nelson said the administration told senators Iraq had gone beyond exploring and developed the means of hitting the U.S. with weapons of mass destruction.

Given what we know about VP Cheney's direct financial ties to Haliburton, isn't it clear that he has committed a fraud against the United States for the purpose of illegal financial gain, in accordance with the following statute? When Bush wanted to include the claim in an October 7, 2002, speech in Cincinnati, Tenet personally intervened, imploring Condoleezza Rice's National Security Council (NSC) deputy, Stephen Hadley, to cut the allegation from the speech, which he did. The idea that no one involved with the State of the Union was aware of this earlier, emphatic intervention is implausible. And when the latter speech was being written, the CIA again raised questions about the Niger assertion. According to The New York Times, when NSC proliferation staffer Robert G. Joseph called his CIA counterpart, Alan Foley, to ask about including the allegation in the State of the Union, Foley told Joseph the CIA was not confident about the information.

THERE was ruin and terror in Manhattan, but, over the Hudson River in New Jersey, a handful of men were dancing. As the World Trade Centre burned and crumpled, the five men celebrated and filmed the worst atrocity ever committed on American soil as it played out before their eyes.

Who do you think they were? Palestinians? Saudis? Iraqis, even? Al-Qaeda, surely? Wrong on all counts. They were Israelis - and at least two of them were Israeli intelligence agents, working for Mossad, the equivalent of MI6 or the CIA.

Their discovery and arrest that morning is a matter of indisputable fact.

It has always been a long-accepted agreement among allies - such as Britain and America or America and Israel - that neither country will jail a "friendly spy" nor shame the allied country for espionage. Chip Berlet, a senior analyst at Boston's Political Research Associates and an expert in intelligence, says: "It's a backdoor agreement between allies that says that if one of your spies gets caught and didn't do too much harm, he goes home. It goes on all the time. The official reason is always visa violation."

What we are left with, then, is fact sullied by innuendo. Certainly, it seems, Israel was spying within the borders of the United States and it is equally certain that the targets were Islamic extremists probably linked to September 11. But did Israel know in advance that the Twin Towers would be hit and the world plunged into a war without end; a war which would give Israel the power to strike its enemies almost without limit? That's a conspiracy theory too far, perhaps. But the unpleasant feeling that, in this age of spin and secrets, we do not know the full and unadulterated truth won't go away. Maybe we can guess, but it's for the history books to discover and decide.

Is it really so impolite to demand the truth?

The REAL issue is WHEN he declassified the report, allowing Scooter Libby to tell Judith Miller and others journalists the information to discredit Joe Wilson and expose his wife's CIA-cover (in-itself, a serious Federal-offense). It appears that Mr. Bush did NOT declassify-it when he gave the OK to Libby. If that is so, he DID break-the-law, and it would be unsurprising considering the gross-incompetance and criminality of this regime.

The following are the defining characteristics... which by now are emblematic of the proverbial "flagship" of the religious conservatives and their "anointed" leader: BU$HCORP.

1. The concentration of power in a covert, executive branch, supported by ideologue "operatives" in various key beauracratic agencies... as well as the judiciary and legislative branches. This arrangement is intended to bypass vital Constitutional "checks and balances" and create an elite "cabal", making public accountablility essentially moot. Appointments to key, influential positions are usually made primarily on the basis of party loyalty, nepotism, or corporate cronyism.

2. An administration shaped by Militarism, both economically and philisophically (neoConservatism). The line between "private" corporations and military, intelligence and security functions is blurred to the point of being irrelevant. Corporate cronyism and government subsidy, in the form of "tax breaks" or largesse via "no bid contracts" or carte blanche funding of "research and development" is rampant.

a. Profilgate military spending, completely out of proportion to legitimate defense requirements and in utter disregard for fiscal responsibility, is pursued, both to achieve their misguided neoConservative, Imperialistic and Corporatist aims as well. True fiscal conservatives must be galled by deficits that are in the multi-hundred billion dollar range and a staggering, skyrocketing $8.2 TRILLION dollar national debt. The cost of the heinous Iraq invasion has been recently estimated to ultimately cost between 1-2 TRILLION dollars!

b. Patriotism is misappropriated and twisted, as the government seeks to conflate it with militaristic and security activities. Patriots are seen as blindly following their president, encouraged by staged photo-ops to propagandize and ensconce their "anointed one" in the trappings of military icons as the Commander-in-Chief.

3. Propaganda, deceptions and gross distortions are used to exagerate security risks, and pander to the public's desire for safety and well-being, creating a
paranoia that feeds the characteristics listed above. An utter determination to keep the role of the press anything other than vital and "free" is one of the hallmarks of BU$Hcorp... with a disdain for the White House presscorps even surpassing Nixonian levels.

4. Lip service only is paid to our civil liberties and human-rights globally, while an obssesion with "the enemy" and repeated playing the "terrorist card" trumps both and justifies unprecedented domestic surveillance, as well as policies of unjustified detention and torture. Domestic social programs of compassion are the predictable casualties of this War Party President, and much of what survives becomes hopelessly entangled with religious dogma through what we euphemistically call "faith-based" initiatives, or more accurately, taxpayer funded and government sanctioned proselytizing, to the most vulnerable citizens.

5. The administration shamelessly engages in pandering to "christian" religious elements and crass public displays of "piety". BU$Hcorp has absolutely no regard for the Constitutitonal wall of separation of church and state, that is the very hallmark of our Republic. The fundamental rights of women, in terms of privacy and reproduction are paternalistically bridged, as well as those of different, inherent gender orientations, guided by the authoritarian dogma of intolerant fundamentalism.

6. Medicine and science are not immune from the fanaticism of religio-conservative ideology, with women's reproductive health, stem-cell research and climatology suffering politically motivated censorship. BU$Hcorp is loathe to recognize the nexus between industrialization and our voracious enegy requirements with it's obvious attendant environmental degradation, as well as substantive health risks.

a. It is no coincidence that the foundational basis for the biological sciences, evolution, has come under direct assault by emboldened christian fundamentalists during "born-again" Bu$h's tenure.

7. An administration that views the environment... our Commonwealth, only in the most myopic terms of corporate exploitation. No ecosystem is too fragile nor valuble nor asthetically beautiful to escape the fate of development or mining, when the lure of wealth becons the titans of industry and cronies of BU$Hcorp.
In the world of these greedy corporatists, the concept of "endangered species"... or sustainable growth with "renewables"... or the very basics of environmental stewardship, the hallmark of conservatism, is utterly lost and even disparaged.

Footnote: It is amazing that the Republican party used to stand on the principle of fiscal and environmental conservatism and sound economic policy, but has been co-opted by "social conservatives" into a party of intolerance, imperialism and fiscal irresponsibility. Besides the effects of balooning deficits which have mortgaged our children's future for decades hence, George W. Bu$h, like Millard Fillmore a few other obscure presidents, has yet to veto a single spending bill brought by the Republican Congress... not one! Contrast this pathetic lack of restraint with his father (46 vetoes) or Reagan (78), Eisenhower (181) or that era or "big government" under Franklin Delano Roosevelt (635)!

Also, corruption and scandal, always present in government with the twin "devils", money and power, have escalated to new levels of mendacity under BU$Hcorp as well.

When Bush's "solution" is to pour more gasoline on the fire then I say he's part of the problem.

Bush, the buffoon who looked the other way before 9/11 can't stand being held culpable (by his record) for his disgraceful conduct before, during and ever since.

The declassification was an afterthought, an ass-cover.

Aside from that, the unprecedented concentration of power in the executive branch orchestrated by this administration is beyond the pale. Whether illegal or not, most Americans will find it an immoral act. Their president committed four related immoral acts for which he will be remembered:

1 - He decided to invade a country that had done us no harm, to secure oil and further his American political agenda, before he came to office.

2- He used a tragic but unrelated event to create an endless fear in Americans, thus allowing him to easily manipulate them.

3 - He conspired to trick the American people into going along with his Invasion for Oil, by means of a WMD hoax

4 - He authorized the leaking of ONLY CHERRY-PICKED, classified information that he KNEW TO BE FALSE, to certain pre-selected members of the media (dupes, essentially) in order to silence those who called him out on this charade.

The fact that he later did the declassification paperwork does not make his actions any less immoral.

Even Poppy's war record is questionable. This from the Unauthorized Biography of George H.W. Bush...

The only person who has ever claimed to have seen Bush's plane get hit, and to have seen it hit the water, is Chester Mierzejewksi, who was the rear turret gunner in the aircraft flown by Squadron Commander Douglas Melvin. During 1987-88, Mierzejewksi became increasingly indignant as he watched Bush repeat his canonical account of how he was shot down. Shortly before the Republican National Convention in 1988, Mierzekewski, by then a 68 year old retired aircraft foreman living in Cheshire, Connecticut, decided to tell his story to Allan Wolper and Al Ellenberg of the New York Post, which printed it as a copyrighted article. [fn 8]

"That guy is not telling the truth," Mierzejewski said of Bush.

As the rear-looking turret gunner on Commander Melvin's plane, Mierzejewski had the most advantageous position for observing the events in question here. Since Melvin's plane flew directly ahead of Bush's, he had a direct and unobstructed view of what was happening aft of his own plane. When the New York Post reporters asked former Lt. Legare Hole, the executive officer of Bush's squadron, about who might have best observed the last minutes of the Barbara II, Hole replied: "The turret gunner in Melvin's plane would have had a good view. If the plane was on fire, there is a very good chance he would be able to see that. The pilot can't see everything that the gunner can, and he'd miss an awful lot, " Hole told the New York Post.

Gunner Lawrence Mueller of Milwaukee, another former member of Bush's squadron who flew on the Chichi Jima mission, when asked who would have had the best view, replied: "The turret gunner of Melvin's plane." Mierzejewksi for his part said that his plane was flying about 100 feet ahead of Bush's plane during the incident - so close that he could see into Bush's cockpit.

Mierzejewki, who is also a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross, told the New York Post that he saw "a puff of smoke" come out of Bush's plane and quickly dissipate. He asserted that after that there was no more smoke visible, that Bush's "plane was never on fire" and that "no smoke came out of his cockpit when he opened his canopy to bail out." Mierzejewski stated that only one man ever got out of the Barbara II, and that was Bush himself. "I was hoping I would see some other parachutes. I never did. I saw the plane go down. I knew the guys were still in it. It was a helpless feeling."

Mierzejewski has long been troubled by the notion that Bush's decision to parachute from his damaged aircraft might have cost the lives of Radioman second class John Delaney, a close friend of Mierzejewksy, as well as gunner Lt. Junior Grade William White. 'I think [Bush] could have saved those lives, if they were alive. I don't know that they were, but at least they had a chance if he had attempted a water landing,'" Mierzejewski told the New York Post.

• 1984: Spectrum 7 Corporation, an Ohio oil exploration outfit owned by Dubya's Yalie pal William DeWitt Jr., buys out Bush Exploration, setting up young Bush as CEO at $75,000 a year and giving him 1.1 million shares of the firm's stock. Another flop. The company's fortunes soon sink, with $400,000 in losses and a debt of $3 million.

• 1986: In the nick of time, Bush and partners merge the failing Spectrum with Harken Oil, a Dallas exploration company, with a $2 million stock purchase. Bush puts up about $500,000 and gets a $120,000 annual consulting fee along with $131,250 in stock options. Harken is a small outfit, looking for oil opportunities within the U.S. Then out of the blue comes Harvard Management Corporation, an investment adviser for Harvard University's endowment portfolio. • 1990: Although Harken has no international expertise, it gets the attention of the Bahrain National Oil Company, which unexpectedly appears on the scene and bypasses big oil's Amoco and Chevron to sign a production agreement with the little Texas concern. The contract grants Harken exclusive rights to what seems to be a promising offshore area squeezed between two productive tracts owned by Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The Wall Street Journal speculates Bahrain was trying to cozy up to Daddy Bush, who was plotting an assault on Iraq after Saddam Hussein seized Kuwait.

Bass Enterprises Production Company finances the Bahrain drilling with $25 million, and Harvard Management raises its investment. A couple of members of the Fort Worth Bass family have places on Team 100, an elite business group contributing to the Republican National Committee.

In June, Harken drills two dry holes in Bahrain. The future looks bleak. Dubya dumps two-thirds of his Harken holdings (212,140 shares), for $848,560. He uses some of this money to buy into the Texas Rangers baseball club. It seems behind every rock there is another dead body when it comes to the incredible case of Ambassador Leo Wanta, the man holding 27.5 trillion dollars in trust for the American people as Illuminati banksters try to rip him off on a daily basis.

First there was attorney Vince Foster, Deputy White House Counsel to President Clinton, found dead in a Washington D.C. park just after Wanta handed him 250 million in Switzerland for the Childrens' Defense Fund, a fund both men thought was legit but turned out to be nothing more than a front for black ops money considered by insiders to be Hillary Clinton's personal slush fund.

Then there was Wanta's business partner, Kok Howe Kwong, and other associates like Freddie Woodruff and Francois de Grosseurve, all found dead, according to Wanta, "strangely for their personal belief in our Great Nation, but by betrayal of others with falsehoods and malice," pointing the finger in the direction of George H. Bush and Clinton.

And now, years later, after Wanta spent a lengthy, what he calls "trumped-up" prison sentence and now released on house arrest, the killing appears to be continuing in an all out effort by the Illuminati to get their hands on the vast sum of money in Wanta's control before it ever can be released safely into the hands of the American people.

The reason being Wanta, nicknamed the '27.5 Trillion Dollar Man', is legally holding the financial "golden keys" to a vast sum of money made right after the Cold War after he and others on behalf of President Ronald Reagan were assigned to destabilize the Russian Ruble. The profits have now grown to approximately 27.5 trillion and Wanta has ben legally appointed trustee by a 2003 federal court ruling out of Alexandria, Virginia.

And to verify the dangers behind the Wanta story due to the enormous sum of money at stake, Marco Saba of the Observatory of Organized Crime in Switzerland, a privately funded European crime watch dog group, this week had this to say about the 27.5 trillion in Wanta's control:

"In January 2006 a man named 'Jack' tried to take money from one of Wanta's accounts at UBS - Zurich. He was killed in the basement of the UBS bank.

"In March, 2006, a former undercover Swiss agent Fausto "Tato" Cattaneo, worked closely with DEA, to defeat the Cali drug cartel in Colombia and he wrote a book in 2001 about his work to investigate the whereabouts of Leo Wanta's account in Switzerland.

"He recently was arrested by former police colleagues and held jailed for a week in Zurich. He has just been released. I agree that Wanta's story is very interesting and that people want to stop him from recovering the money."

Interviewed March 23 on Greg Szymanski's radio show, The Investigative Journal, Wanta said he and Foster, as well as many other patriots working in the best interests of the U.S., were essentially double-crossed, Foster being murdered for "knowing too much" and Wanta being shackled and hidden away in a Swiss dungeon for 134 days.

Filed on Dec. 4, 1998, in Swiss court documents before the Honorable Judge Jacques Antenen on behalf of AmeriTrust Corp., one of the legal entities protecting trillions for the American people, Wanta entered the following statements about how he was being framed and how many of his associates, not on the treasonous Bush/Clinton team, were strangely and mysteriously killed.

Further, Wanta was in the middle of what turned out to be an illegal Bush and Clinton network of illegal banking drug running and other treasonous affairs in direct violation of international and U.S. law. The only thing standing in the way of life and death for Ambassador Leo Wanta is he "knows where the money is hidden" and the Illuminati banksters don't.

A former U.S. Treasury official appointed trustee to a large sum of money by President Ronald Reagan, Wanta holds the financial "golden key" to 27.5 trillion dollars, money he says now held in public trust for the American people.

To back up Wanta's trustee status as protector of trillions, a federal judge in Alexandria, Virginia, in 2003, ruled in his favor, saying Wanta's trustee status is legally binding and the money is rightfully the property of the American people.

The federal court case, however, has left federal prosecutors in a perplexed state of mind, as they have not yet officially appealed the ruling, perhaps thinking it is better to let "sleeping dogs sleep" until they get their 'cooked ducks or judges in the right government pond."

But the real problem, as it stands today and why the money remains in limbo, is simply if Wanta returns the money to the U.S. Treasury, it will be immediately hi-jacked from the people and put into private Iluminati bank accounts since under the present Federal Reserve and the national banking system, there are no laws protecting the American people's money.

"Dutch (President Reagan} always intended the money be returned to the American people to be used for roads, schools and health care," said Wanta last Thursday on Greg Szymanski's radio show, the Investigative Journal, where the former Ambassador spoke for two hours while still being held under house arrest in his Switzerland home.

During the interview that can be heard in full by going to The Investigative Journal archives at www.rbnlive.com , Wanta literally blew the lid off the Illuminati's world wide banking scam, as well as providing detailed information about how Illiminati banksters with help from the Bush crime family and former President Clinton have already hijacked 752 billion dollars in what has been called by European investigators "the biggest bank heist in world history."

Besides the large sums of money at stake and the need to revamp the Federal Reserve and national banking laws to protect the public not private interests, Wanta's story involves undercover intrigue and espionage at the highest levels, providing a mystery story better than any Hollywood movie can offer.

Behind following the money, his story involves saving President Reagan's life in a little known assassination attempt left unreported in the mainstream press (see rbn interview), authority to arrest Marc (Reich) Rich, a meeting with Vince Foster just prior to his untimely death and just prior to Wanta being placed in a Swiss dungeon for 134 days when he confronted Rich, who was allowed to go free through White House connections.

To better understand Wanta's role and the importance of his story, not to mention how 27.5 trillion dollars could provide a good jump start to the American economy, it's best to go back to his original assignment in the Reagan administration at the time the Cold War was coming to a close.

At this time, Wanta, a distinguished U5 Secret Service/Treasury officer was the primary US Financial Warfare officer engaged in operations to "collapse" the Soviet Empire through financial maneuvers to prevent the Soviet military devoting larger resources to military expenditure.

For his financial plan which destabilized the Russian currency and resulted in huge dollar profits, leading into the 27.5 trillion in trust, instead of being recognized for his service, he was set-up by the Clinton's and the Bush crime family after being released from the Swiss jail, sentenced to a 22 year jail term on bogus Wisconsin state income tax evasion charges

Although recently released and protected in a sense by the 2003 federal court ruling in his favor, Wanta has languished much of the time since 1993 in jail and now under house arrest, the primary reason for his predicament being he audited the Illuminati's giga-financing operation of 1989-92 too accurately far the liking of certain high-level official crooks controlling the purse strings.

Regarding the Rich arrest in Switzerland and his meeting with Foster, Wanta said this on The Investigative Journal last week:

"I was named Ambassador from Somalia to Switzerland and Canada as a cover to arrest Rich. When I go there, I found myself in a Swiss dungeon and Rich was set free. Foster was also there on behlaf of the Clinton's, asking for $250 million to be used for The Children's Fund, which Hillary was the chairman. I thought it was to be used for a good cause so We gave him the money.

"Later Vince attempted to help me out of my situation, but I was later notified he was found dead and I never found out what happened to the $250 million."

Although Wanta had no idea what The Children's Fund was all about, later a financial investigator, Marco Saba of the Organized Crime Observatory in Switzerland wrote this about turned out to be a secret fund:

"One component of this information concerns the activities of the CIA operative known as Mrs Hillary Rodham Clinton. For some years prior to the elevation of her husband, Bill, a CIA operative like his ''CIA wife'', Hillary had been in control of an organization calling itself the Children''s Defense Fund. Executive Order 12333 (1981) of President Reagan, the US intelligence services were authorised to operate what became known as Title 18, Section 6 USG corporations for intelligence purposes, and to deny any intelligence community connection (that is, to lie about their real purpose). Some of these entities have touchy-feely, welfarish titles, like The Children''s Defense Fund. It is alleged, un the basis of intelligence community leakages, that Hillary became accustomed to treating this fund as her own private slush fund."

However, behind the scenes of Rich, Foster and the Clinton's, a bigger game of world politics and deception was being played out, as Wanta unknowingly was caught in the middle of the U.S./Soviet double-cross of the American people, as the two collaborated to bring about an orchestrated fall of the Soviet Union.

THE 'TAKEDOWN' OF LEO WANTA In 1993, while on a mission ordered by William Sessions, head of the FBI, to Switzerland, the legendary US Treasury Secret Services/CIA/FBI operative Leo Wanta - known to have been President Reagan's favourite intelligence operative (or 'junkyard dog') - was arrested and flung into a stinking Swiss dungeon, where he was illegally held incognito for 132 days. His instructions from Sessions had included the arrest of Marc Rich. He is believed to have been accompanied by Delmart Vreeland, a US Office of naval Intelligence operative who may have been instructed to shoot Marc Rich during a boat trip on Lake Geneva, but who allegedly failed to fulfil this mission when Wanta's head got in the way, and his handler allegedly told him not to shoot. William Sessions was summarily dismissed by President Clinton with no warning, and Vincent Foster, an operative who was charged inter alia with financial transactions involving the innocent sounding CIA front called the Children's Defense Fund, was found murdered in Fort Macy Park, Virginia.

Following an intervention by the Israeli Prime Minister, Leo Wanta was released by the Swiss authorities, bundled onto a plane for New York, marched in shackles through the airport, and arraigned in a New York US courthouse on trumped-up tax evasion charges concerning an ancient tax amount allegedly arising from Leo Wanta's intelligence operations many years previously in connection with a vending machine company that had been established by US law enforcement to trace drug-trafficking perpetrators who had been distributing drugs through vending machines. The trumped-up allegations were orchestrated on behalf of President Clinton by his close associate Tommy Thompson, then US Attorney in Wisconsin, who became that State's Governor, and later surfaced in the Bush Jr. Cabinet. Wanta was sentenced to 22 years in jail, later commuted to house arrest. COMPARTMENTALIZATION OBSCURED FULL PICTURE The significance of these complex circumstances surrounding Leo Wanta (condensed in the foregoing summary) is that, due to compartmentalization, Wanta and Sessions had been unaware that Marc Rich was assisting the United States (with help from Clinton), in collaboration with Soviet intelligence, to bring about the transformation of the USSR and its economy that has been described. In other words, the US Presidency necessarily had a more complete, or broader, overview of strategy than Sessions and Wanta et al. Confirmation of this fact has been provided directly to your correspondent by Mr Wanta himself who, when informed by the Editor that he had been working not so much for the United States but actually for the Illuminati, responded (in May 2005): 'Yes, but we didn't understand that at the time'.

The Editor commends Leo Wanta for this very honest admission, because it provides a vital clue and confirms the basic integrity of the present analysis. Removal of Marc Rich and his vast scamming network from the scene would have slowed down the process described, and would have impeded the implementation of the joint US-Soviet strategy to convert the 'former' USSR into a viable long-term supplier of oil and gas products to the West. Let us now tease out the game of double-bluff that was going on, which masked the Soviet strategic deception dimension to all this.

As has been seen, 'Europe from the Atlantic to Vladivostok' was never a starter until the 'transformation' (and dollarisation) of the Soviet economy had taken place. The 'Yeltsin period', during which the underground economy and the hegemony of intelligence scamming operations were to be leveraged in order to release the full potential of the KGB-mafiya and the 'scamocracy' in a Leninist manner, was a prerequisite for the rapid-fire imposition of the 'state controlled capitalism' model that the strategists needed to surface in the interests of fulfilling the 'Europe from the Atlantic to Vladivostok' strategy. Assets of the Party-State would indeed, the strategists foresaw, be stolen: but they would be recovered, with compound interest, by implementing a 'new form' of the 'Party's Gold' strategy: and this is what happened. In the simplest of terms, as the dust has finally settled from the Cold War, the issue of the 27.5 trillion held by Wanta in trust for the American people still remains in limbo. According to Wanta, though, the issue is simple: change the banking laws so the money can be used for the people, not put into accounts of criminals.

According to Saba, who investigated and traced Wanta's behind the scenes accounting of how some of the money has already been misappropriated, it's easy to see why Illuminati banksters want to get their dirty hands on the money before it gets into the hands of American people.

THE STALINESQUE ANO CALIGULA-LIKE PURGE

In the meantime, the high-level crooks -- who are known to be most uneasy at the continuing leakage of information which threatens their exposure, and who, being indifferent to human life which they regard as expendable, have resorted to the ultimate sanction in innumerable cases -- have procured that dose on 500 operatives, lawyers and others have been ''taken down'' (liquidated, ''suicided'', placed under house arrest, jailed on trumped-up charges, or dismissed) in a Stalinesque purge of those considered a threat to the continued cover-up o! crimes referred to generically as the Iran-Contra scandal, which in fact covers a far widen spectrum of serial illegality than its name implies. It also covers ''legitimate'' intelligence Financial Warfare operations in which Leo Wanta was extensively involved, and its operational codename was the name of his primary Title 18, Section 6 corporation, New Republic/USA Financial Group, and its several affiliates.

One method that Leo Wanta says is being used to hide all trace of some of the original alleged embezzlements, is that stolen banking or 138 Treasury instruments are being used and re-used as collateral for bank loans. The effect of this ruse is to ensure that the original embezzled instrument is permanently in the custody of financial institutions, and thus beyond the scrutiny of the authorities -- not that this is likely, since, as Leo Wanta told your correspondent finally on 25th April, US Treasury officials are complicit in the vast cover-up operation which has continued ever since the main alleged embezzlements took place in the early 1990s.

2.7% OF $27.5 TRILLION, THANK YOU VERY MUCH

In the case of the unprecedented giga-funding operation on behalf of the Illuminati, which was presided over by President George W. Bush Sr., the crooks helped themselves and their friends -- including Opus Dei, via an entity calling itself the Francis X Driscoil Trust -- to 2.7% of the total intended giga-loan. namely $742.5 billion A new breakdown of how the allegedly embezzled funds were distributed was given on page 144 of the magazine, and is reproduced here on page 9.

When these alleged giga-embezzlements were taking place or had been spotted, the biggest crisis in the history of the international financial system developed. Specifically, given that the funds were to be paid out in US dollars, the transactions were all necessarily handled by the Federal Reserve, under the supervision and control of Dr Alan Greenspan. But although the giga-funding started in 1989, the transmission of funds from the Federal Reserve sudden ceased (we are not, in the available public domain documents, told to whom the funds were to have been transmitted, but the primary recipient was a nexus of accounts loosely referred to as the Global Security Fund, based in Belgium, which is traditionally the financial centre for the Illuminati, and Chicago, where some of the funds may subsequently have been intermingled in the vortex of the derivatives industry).

Available public domain documentation shows that the Netherlands Bank and some other central banks, together with various very large commercial institutions, embarked upon legal proceedings against the Federal Reserve when the payouts ceased in 1991. In other words, the international financial system was on the verge of effective collapse, since payments were not being implemented.

The documented information we have published relates an extensive, seemingly never-ending, litany of excuses that were made by the US authorities while the payments were being stalled. All trust between certain European central banks, financial institutions and the Federal Reserve was corrupted to vanishing point. And why were the payouts stalled? Because the massive embezzlement that we document were in the process of being undertaken, way beyond the scrutiny of the international financial community generally.

While the financial payments were suffering from internal constipation, no-one had a clue what was going on; so the Dutch authorities (who are very litigious) started the ball rolling by instituting legal proceedings, given the scale of the monies that had been provided and were suddenly not being paid out. The Netherlands Bank also demanded to take up its vacant seat on the Federal Reserve Board, which is to a considerable extent owned by European financial powers and forces. After the alleged embezzlements, the payouts were finally resumed in 1992 (but on the basis of exchange rates, where foreign currency had been provided, prevailing on the dates of the suspensions).

These data are collated from the handwritten analytical notes accompanying the print-out sets shown or pages 150-160 only of International Currency Review, Volume 30, Numbers 2 and 3, which were made available and placed in the public domain by US intelligence. The Editor itemised the entries in the handwritten notes, gauging them to represent transactions which diverged from the intended destinations of the giga-funds. In summary, what happened was that 2.7% of the proceeds of the Illuminati''s unprecedentediy gigantic loan were creamed off for the benefit of the parties shown. The colossal increase in opium poppy production in Afghanistan that has taken place since US intelligence seized control over the heroin business from the Taliban, who had all but stamped it out by early 2001, has resulted, as predicted, in a flood of cheap heroin into the United Kingdom. In its Annual Report for 2003, the United Nations agency called the International Narcotics Control Board, voiced its concern over the impact of two years of bumper poppy crops after the fall of the previous r驧irne. Since the Taliban was removed from power, drug production, supervised of course by corrupt US intelligence cadres (now headed up by the former US State Department Under-Secretary of State, Richard Armitaqe, who left his post in order to establish an ''import-export agency'' in Kabul), has resulted in 3,600 tons of opium being produced in 2003, representing a 6% increase over revived output in 2002. Ten million addicts worldwide were said in March 2004 to be hooked on heroin produced in Afghanistan, and 1.7 million farmers are economically dependent on opium production in the country. Half-hearted attempts to encourage crop substitution failed because farmers can earn three times more by growing opium poppies. The heroin they produce is shipped along the Balkan route -- secured by the West from the hands of Yugoslav criminal operatives in the Balkan wars of the 1990s -- and through eastern Europe, to destinations such as The Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Consumption of drugs depends on supply rather than demand -- a reversal of the normal commercial equation. Therefore, the Taliban had the right idea. The only thing standing in the way of life and death for Ambassador Leo Wanta is he "knows where the money is hidden" and the Illuminati banksters don't.

A former U.S. Treasury official appointed trustee to a large sum of money by President Ronald Reagan, Wanta holds the financial "golden key" to 27.5 trillion dollars, money he says now held in public trust for the American people.

To back up Wanta's trustee status as protector of trillions, a federal judge in Alexandria, Virginia, in 2003, ruled in his favor, saying Wanta's trustee status is legally binding and the money is rightfully the property of the American people.

The federal court case, however, has left federal prosecutors in a perplexed state of mind, as they have not yet officially appealed the ruling, perhaps thinking it is better to let "sleeping dogs sleep" until they get their 'cooked ducks or judges in the right government pond."

But the real problem, as it stands today and why the money remains in limbo, is simply if Wanta returns the money to the U.S. Treasury, it will be immediately hi-jacked from the people and put into private Iluminati bank accounts since under the present Federal Reserve and the national banking system, there are no laws protecting the American people's money.

"Dutch (President Reagan} always intended the money be returned to the American people to be used for roads, schools and health care," said Wanta last Thursday on Greg Szymanski's radio show, the Investigative Journal, where the former Ambassador spoke for two hours while still being held under house arrest in his Switzerland home.

Besides the large sums of money at stake and the need to revamp the Federal Reserve and national banking laws to protect the public not private interests, Wanta's story involves undercover intrigue and espionage at the highest levels, providing a mystery story better than any Hollywood movie can offer.

Behind following the money, his story involves saving President Reagan's life in a little known assassination attempt left unreported in the mainstream press (see rbn interview), authority to arrest Marc (Reich) Rich, a meeting with Vince Foster just prior to his untimely death and just prior to Wanta being placed in a Swiss dungeon for 134 days when he confronted Rich, who was allowed to go free through White House connections.

To better understand Wanta's role and the importance of his story, not to mention how 27.5 trillion dollars could provide a good jump start to the American economy, it's best to go back to his original assignment in the Reagan administration at the time the Cold War was coming to a close.

At this time, Wanta, a distinguished U5 Secret Service/Treasury officer was the primary US Financial Warfare officer engaged in operations to "collapse" the Soviet Empire through financial maneuvers to prevent the Soviet military devoting larger resources to military expenditure.

For his financial plan which destabilized the Russian currency and resulted in huge dollar profits, leading into the 27.5 trillion in trust, instead of being recognized for his service, he was set-up by the Clinton's and the Bush crime family after being released from the Swiss jail, sentenced to a 22 year jail term on bogus Wisconsin state income tax evasion charges

Although recently released and protected in a sense by the 2003 federal court ruling in his favor, Wanta has languished much of the time since 1993 in jail and now under house arrest, the primary reason for his predicament being he audited the Illuminati's giga-financing operation of 1989-92 too accurately far the liking of certain high-level official crooks controlling the purse strings.

Regarding the Rich arrest in Switzerland and his meeting with Foster, Wanta said this on The Investigative Journal last week:

"I was named Ambassador from Somalia to Switzerland and Canada as a cover to arrest Rich. When I go there, I found myself in a Swiss dungeon and Rich was set free. Foster was also there on behlaf of the Clinton's, asking for $250 million to be used for The Children's Fund, which Hillary was the chairman. I thought it was to be used for a good cause so We gave him the money.

"Later Vince attempted to help me out of my situation, but I was later notified he was found dead and I never found out what happened to the $250 million."

Although Wanta had no idea what The Children's Fund was all about, later a financial investigator, Marco Saba of the Organized Crime Observatory in Switzerland wrote this about turned out to be a secret fund:

"One component of this information concerns the activities of the CIA operative known as Mrs Hillary Rodham Clinton. For some years prior to the elevation of her husband, Bill, a CIA operative like his ''CIA wife'', Hillary had been in control of an organization calling itself the Children''s Defense Fund. Executive Order 12333 (1981) of President Reagan, the US intelligence services were authorised to operate what became known as Title 18, Section 6 USG corporations for intelligence purposes, and to deny any intelligence community connection (that is, to lie about their real purpose). Some of these entities have touchy-feely, welfarish titles, like The Children''s Defense Fund. It is alleged, un the basis of intelligence community leakages, that Hillary became accustomed to treating this fund as her own private slush fund."

However, behind the scenes of Rich, Foster and the Clinton's, a bigger game of world politics and deception was being played out, as Wanta unknowingly was caught in the middle of the U.S./Soviet double-cross of the American people, as the two collaborated to bring about an orchestrated fall of the Soviet Union.

William Sessions was summarily dismissed by President Clinton with no warning, and Vincent Foster, an operative who was charged inter alia with financial transactions involving the innocent sounding CIA front called the Children's Defense Fund, was found murdered in Fort Macy Park, Virginia.

Following an intervention by the Israeli Prime Minister, Leo Wanta was released by the Swiss authorities, bundled onto a plane for New York, marched in shackles through the airport, and arraigned in a New York US courthouse on trumped-up tax evasion charges concerning an ancient tax amount allegedly arising from Leo Wanta's intelligence operations many years previously in connection with a vending machine company that had been established by US law enforcement to trace drug-trafficking perpetrators who had been distributing drugs through vending machines. The trumped-up allegations were orchestrated on behalf of President Clinton by his close associate Tommy Thompson, then US Attorney in Wisconsin, who became that State's Governor, and later surfaced in the Bush Jr. Cabinet. Wanta was sentenced to 22 years in jail, later commuted to house arrest. COMPARTMENTALIZATION OBSCURED FULL PICTURE The significance of these complex circumstances surrounding Leo Wanta (condensed in the foregoing summary) is that, due to compartmentalization, Wanta and Sessions had been unaware that Marc Rich was assisting the United States (with help from Clinton), in collaboration with Soviet intelligence, to bring about the transformation of the USSR and its economy that has been described. In other words, the US Presidency necessarily had a more complete, or broader, overview of strategy than Sessions and Wanta et al. Confirmation of this fact has been provided directly to your correspondent by Mr Wanta himself who, when informed by the Editor that he had been working not so much for the United States but actually for the Illuminati, responded (in May 2005): 'Yes, but we didn't understand that at the time'.

The Editor commends Leo Wanta for this very honest admission, because it provides a vital clue and confirms the basic integrity of the present analysis. Removal of Marc Rich and his vast scamming network from the scene would have slowed down the process described, and would have impeded the implementation of the joint US-Soviet strategy to convert the 'former' USSR into a viable long-term supplier of oil and gas products to the West. In the simplest of terms, as the dust has finally settled from the Cold War, the issue of the 27.5 trillion held by Wanta in trust for the American people still remains in limbo. According to Wanta, though, the issue is simple: change the banking laws so the money can be used for the people, not put into accounts of criminals.

According to Saba, who investigated and traced Wanta's behind the scenes accounting of how some of the money has already been misappropriated, it's easy to see why Illuminati banksters want to get their dirty hands on the money before it gets into the hands of American people.

THE STALINESQUE ANO CALIGULA-LIKE PURGE

In the meantime, the high-level crooks -- who are known to be most uneasy at the continuing leakage of information which threatens their exposure, and who, being indifferent to human life which they regard as expendable, have resorted to the ultimate sanction in innumerable cases -- have procured that dose on 500 operatives, lawyers and others have been ''taken down'' (liquidated, ''suicided'', placed under house arrest, jailed on trumped-up charges, or dismissed) in a Stalinesque purge of those considered a threat to the continued cover-up o! crimes referred to generically as the Iran-Contra scandal, which in fact covers a far widen spectrum of serial illegality than its name implies. It also covers ''legitimate'' intelligence Financial Warfare operations in which Leo Wanta was extensively involved, and its operational codename was the name of his primary Title 18, Section 6 corporation, New Republic/USA Financial Group, and its several affiliates.

One method that Leo Wanta says is being used to hide all trace of some of the original alleged embezzlements, is that stolen banking or 138 Treasury instruments are being used and re-used as collateral for bank loans. The effect of this ruse is to ensure that the original embezzled instrument is permanently in the custody of financial institutions, and thus beyond the scrutiny of the authorities -- not that this is likely, since, as Leo Wanta told your correspondent finally on 25th April, US Treasury officials are complicit in the vast cover-up operation which has continued ever since the main alleged embezzlements took place in the early 1990s.

2.7% OF $27.5 TRILLION, THANK YOU VERY MUCH

In the case of the unprecedented giga-funding operation on behalf of the Illuminati, which was presided over by President George W. Bush Sr., the crooks helped themselves and their friends -- including Opus Dei, via an entity calling itself the Francis X Driscoil Trust -- to 2.7% of the total intended giga-loan. namely $742.5 billion A new breakdown of how the allegedly embezzled funds were distributed was given on page 144 of the magazine, and is reproduced here on page 9.

When these alleged giga-embezzlements were taking place or had been spotted, the biggest crisis in the history of the international financial system developed. Specifically, given that the funds were to be paid out in US dollars, the transactions were all necessarily handled by the Federal Reserve, under the supervision and control of Dr Alan Greenspan. But although the giga-funding started in 1989, the transmission of funds from the Federal Reserve sudden ceased (we are not, in the available public domain documents, told to whom the funds were to have been transmitted, but the primary recipient was a nexus of accounts loosely referred to as the Global Security Fund, based in Belgium, which is traditionally the financial centre for the Illuminati, and Chicago, where some of the funds may subsequently have been intermingled in the vortex of the derivatives industry).

Available public domain documentation shows that the Netherlands Bank and some other central banks, together with various very large commercial institutions, embarked upon legal proceedings against the Federal Reserve when the payouts ceased in 1991. In other words, the international financial system was on the verge of effective collapse, since payments were not being implemented.

The documented information we have published relates an extensive, seemingly never-ending, litany of excuses that were made by the US authorities while the payments were being stalled. All trust between certain European central banks, financial institutions and the Federal Reserve was corrupted to vanishing point. And why were the payouts stalled? Because the massive embezzlement that we document were in the process of being undertaken, way beyond the scrutiny of the international financial community generally.

While the financial payments were suffering from internal constipation, no-one had a clue what was going on; so the Dutch authorities (who are very litigious) started the ball rolling by instituting legal proceedings, given the scale of the monies that had been provided and were suddenly not being paid out. The Netherlands Bank also demanded to take up its vacant seat on the Federal Reserve Board, which is to a considerable extent owned by European financial powers and forces. After the alleged embezzlements, the payouts were finally resumed in 1992 (but on the basis of exchange rates, where foreign currency had been provided, prevailing on the dates of the suspensions).

The colossal increase in opium poppy production in Afghanistan that has taken place since US intelligence seized control over the heroin business from the Taliban, who had all but stamped it out by early 2001, has resulted, as predicted, in a flood of cheap heroin into the United Kingdom. In its Annual Report for 2003, the United Nations agency called the International Narcotics Control Board, voiced its concern over the impact of two years of bumper poppy crops after the fall of the previous r驧irne. Since the Taliban was removed from power, drug production, supervised of course by corrupt US intelligence cadres (now headed up by the former US State Department Under-Secretary of State, Richard Armitaqe, who left his post in order to establish an ''import-export agency'' in Kabul), has resulted in 3,600 tons of opium being produced in 2003, representing a 6% increase over revived output in 2002. Ten million addicts worldwide were said in March 2004 to be hooked on heroin produced in Afghanistan, and 1.7 million farmers are economically dependent on opium production in the country. Half-hearted attempts to encourage crop substitution failed because farmers can earn three times more by growing opium poppies. The heroin they produce is shipped along the Balkan route -- secured by the West from the hands of Yugoslav criminal operatives in the Balkan wars of the 1990s -- and through eastern Europe, to destinations such as The Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Consumption of drugs depends on supply rather than demand -- a reversal of the normal commercial equation. Therefore, the Taliban had the right idea. It just didn''t coincide with the preferences of criminalized US intelligence, so they had to go, at any cost. That''s how desperate the world situation has become.

AN Australian businessman paid with his life for selling stolen nuclear missiles to Iran, according to his family and a Ukrainian police report.

The allegation is that Sarfraz Haider was killed for selling at least six Russian Kh-55 cruise missiles to the Islamic regime.

Mr Haider, 53, an Australian citizen of Afghan-Iranian origin, lived in Canberra and Sydney before moving to London and then Cyprus in 2000.

Mr Haider's family believed his death in Cyprus last year was the result of a quad motorbike accident.

But following an autopsy on Mr Haider's body, conducted by his brother, Dr Tedo Haider, from Batlow, New South Wales, the family now believe he was murdered.

His neck had been broken and his aorta split, and there were signs of a struggle.

Mr Haider left his children, Saad and Seema, in Australia when he moved to London in 1985, but now they want justice and access to his estate.

Saad Haider, 23, said he never knew his father, but wanted to find out the truth.

His family believe Iranian agents paid Cypriot police to eliminate Mr Haider because he knew too much.

Dr Haider has asked Foreign Minister Alexander Downer and Attorney General Philip Ruddock to intervene.

The Australian Security Intelligence Organisation has a file on the case and the Australian Federal Police have been investigating in Cyprus.

Dr Haider and the two children have visited Cyprus several times, but said they were stonewalled and threatened.

Iran revealed last year that it had a clandestine nuclear program, raising fears it wanted to build nuclear bombs.

The Russian Kh-55 missile that Mr Haider is alleged to have sold to Iran has a 200 kiloton nuclear warhead and can travel 3000km.

Letters written by Hrihoriy Omelchenko, an intelligence colonel to Ukraine's President Viktor Yushchenko, give details of the arms deal.

The letters also claim Mr Haider was part of an arms trafficking gang that sold six Kh-55 missiles to China.

Ukraine handed most of its nuclear weapons to Russia in 1992 and 1996, but it is estimated that $40 billion in weapons was illegally traded during the 1990s.

Based on documents he had seen in Cyprus, Dr Haider said he had "little doubt" the missiles were tipped with warheads.

"What's the use of the missiles without them," Dr Haider said.

The missiles were sold through several companies, including one Cyprus-based company owned by Mr Haider, S.H. Heritage Holding Ltd, and another Iranian firm, Satak Co Ltd.

Dr Haider said the arms deal was worth $10.1 billion. Up to $12.6 million is missing from Mr Haider's accounts and there are doubts about the fate of his properties in Cyprus.

At the heart of the mystery is the role of Mr Haider's mistress and her family, who are allegedly linked to the Russian mafia.

Valery Malev, a member of the gang, who was based in Kiev, died in mysterious circumstances in 2002.

Three of the gang's members were arrested after an investigation began last year.

For years, conservatives have complained about what they saw as the liberal tilt of federal
grant money. Taxpayer funds went to abortion rights groups such as
Planned Parenthood to promote birth control, and groups closely aligned with the
AFL-CIO got Labor Department grants to run worker-training programs.
In the DUBYA administration, conservatives are discovering that turnabout is fair play:
Millions of dollars in taxpayer funds have flowed to groups that support DUBYA'S
agenda on abortion and other "social" issues.
97. Former first lady Barbara Bush donated an undisclosed amount of money to the
Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund with specific instructions that the money be spent with
an educational software company owned by her son Neil.

99. The Bush administration, amid record budget deficits, has been spending huge
amounts on advertising and public relations contracts to counter a hostile media
environment. The administration spent $1.62 billion on advertising and public
relations contracts over two and a half years. Most of the money was spent by
the Defense Department amid its efforts to recruit soldiers for the war in Afghanistan
and Iraq.
100. Karl Rove, DUBYA'S chief political adviser, cautioned other White House aides in
the summer of 2003 that Bush's 2004 re-election prospects would be severely damaged if
it was publicly disclosed that he had been personally warned that a key rationale for going
to war had been challenged within the administration. Rove expressed his concerns shortly
after an informal review of classified government records by then-Deputy National Security
Adviser Stephen J. Hadley determined that Bush had been specifically advised that claims
he later made in his 2003 State of the Union address -- that Iraq was procuring high-strength
aluminum tubes to build a nuclear weapon -- might not be true, according to government
records and interviews. Hadley was particularly concerned that the public might learn
of a classified one-page summary of a National Intelligence Estimate, specifically
written for Bush in October 2002. The summary said that although "most agencies judge"
that the aluminum tubes were "related to a uranium enrichment effort,
" the State Department's Bureau of Intelligence and Research and the Energy Department's
intelligence branch "believe that the tubes more likely are intended for conventional weapons."
101. The DUBYA Administration Has Spent $779M On Abstinence Education -
But Parents Want More Comprehensive Programs.... A push to promote sexual abstinence
in teens -- backed by a steady increase in federal funding -- is starting to affect the way
sex ed is taught in the U.S. In middle schools and high schools across the country,
sex-ed classes that discuss birth control as a way to prevent pregnancy and sexual
diseases are increasingly being replaced or supplemented by curricula that promote
abstinence until marriage and discuss contraceptives primarily in terms of their
failure rates.
102. A huge mushroom cloud of dust arose over Nevada's desert in Junem 06 when the
Pentagon detonated a gigantic, 700-TON explosive -- the biggest open-air chemical blast
ever at the Nevada Test Site -- as part of the research into developing weapons that can

"Divine Strake," will occur on June 2 about 90 miles northwest of Las Vegas in a high

103. Soldiers will no longer be allowed to wear body armor other than the protective
gear issued by the military, Army officials said Thursday, the latest twist in a running

or their families were buying inadequate or untested commercial armor from private

decades. The investigator, Subrata Ghoshroy of the Government Accountability Office,
led technical analyses of a prototype warhead for the antimissile weapon in an 18-month

106. A reconstruction contract for the building of 142 primary health centers across
Iraq has run out of money, after two years and roughly $200 million, with no more than
20 clinics now expected to be completed, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says.
The contract, awarded to U.S. construction giant Parsons Inc. in the flush, early
days of reconstruction in Iraq, was expected to lay the foundation of a modern health
care system for the country, putting quality medical care within reach of all Iraqis.
Parsons, according to the Corps, will walk away from more than 120 clinics that on
average are two-thirds finished. Auditors say its failure serves as a warning for
other U.S. reconstruction efforts due to be completed this year.
107. The first data to document the effect of President Bush's tax cuts for investment
income show that they have significantly lowered the tax burden on the richest Americans,
reducing taxes on incomes of more than $10 million by an average of about $500,000.
An analysis of Internal Revenue Service data by The New York Times found that the benefit
of the lower taxes on investments was far more concentrated on the very wealthiest
Americans than the benefits of Mr. Bush's two previous tax cuts: on wages and other
noninvestment income.

administration has made it hard for them to speak forthrightly to the public about
global warming. The result, the researchers say, is a danger that Americans are not

to have testified that such presidential authorization to disclose classified information
was "unique in his recollection," the court papers further said.
110. When he resigns in a few months, U.S. Rep. Tom DeLay immediately will be eligible
for a congressional pension of nearly $67,000 a year. The Sugar Land Republican, who will
turn 59 on Saturday, 04-15-06, would get a total of about $1.3 MILLION in pension payouts
(TAX PAYER MONEY) in the next 20 years alone. DeLay also will be eligible to participate in
