Porous Borders prove the "War on Terrorism" is phoney!

The "war on terrorism" is supposedly a response to the 911 attack. If you are waiting for hours to board planes, to make sure there are no terrorists on board, then why does President Bush allow porous borders?
They simply walk over or under, bringing with them items of destruction.

If this is a war on terrorism carried out by "radical, transnational Islamists then why does President Bush allow a porous Southern border? The recent discovery of the Tijuana tunnel shows it was big enough to bring suitcase bombs into the country. Supposedly Homeland Security knew of it for two years, and just recently found it.

At first blush it may not seem like it, but the Department of Homeland Security is having some success protecting our borders.
Earlier this week deputies from the Hudspeth County, Texas Sheriff's Department were in pursuit of three vehicles racing for the border that officers suspected were being used in a drug-smuggling operation. Before the vehicles they reached the Rio Grande river, which serves as the border there, deputies seized one vehicle and found it contained over 1,000 pounds of marijuana. A second vehicle made it across the border to Mexico, but the third vehicle became stuck in the river.
At that point men dressed in military uniforms appeared on the scene with what deputies said was a military-style Humvee with a mounted 50-caliber machine gun. The Mexican military proceeded to remove what officers say was likely a shipment of drugs from the stalled vehicle before setting it on fire.
This week's incident was preceded by several others like it. In fact armed Mexican military units have made at least five incursions into the U.S. in the first quarter of this year. Mexican military or police units have made more than 230 incursions into the United States over the past decade, according to Border Patrol records reviewed by the Los Angeles Times.
So how does frequent border incursions by heavily armed foreign police and military qualify as success by our homeland defense and security agencies? Just this: If it was still as easy to penetrate the U.S. southwest border as it has been in recent years, drug- and human smugglers would not need such formidable armed support. The fact that they now do means U.S. agents must be doing a better job at making it more difficult for our borders to be breached.

But this kind of success has obviously come with a price: increased danger for outgunned U.S. law enforcement personnel, as well as American (and Mexican) civilians living in border regions. As such, there is no longer any reason - legally or morally - why President Bush must refrain from deploying the U.S. military in support of federal and local law enforcement officials.
I could see this coming a few years ago. In researching my book, "Illegals: The Imminent Threat Posed by Our Unsecured U.S.-Mexico Border," I wrote:
By March 2000, Border Patrol and Immigration and Naturalization Service [INS] agents began to voice what many believed were legitimate concerns about 'armed incursions' into the United States from Mexico-based assailants. They reported that heavily armed Mexican army units and federal police, called federales, had infiltrated U.S. territory and fired upon them, in some cases because - federal agents would later discover - Mexican drug lords had put prices on the heads of American law enforcement agents strung out along the border.
Does this sound familiar?
Look, this isn't about Democrats or Republicans. It's not about cheap foreign labor or votes or the "rights of minorities."
It is about a clear and present danger to the national security of our country. And our leaders are obligated, under the Constitution of these United States, to defend our borders from armed incursion by a foreign power. Any one of them who refuses should be impeached immediately. Period.
I applaud the bravery and dedication of local and federal law enforcement authorities who have made enough progress in securing our borders to warrant our narco-terrorist enemies to feel the need to recruit more firepower. As dangerous as this escalation is, it says a lot about the effectiveness and ability of America to enhance its border security when we are serious about the task.
That said, there is no more clear mandate for the military than the sanctity of our own physical borders. In fact, one of the reasons why the Pentagon created the U.S. Northern Command was "to preserve the nation's security by defending the American people where they live and work, and support civilian authorities as needed," according to Gen. Ralph Eberhart, the first USNORTHCOM commander.
So why isn't President Bush cutting deployment orders right now? Is he waiting for "diplomacy" to work? Here's all the diplomacy that is necessary: Warn the Mexican government once more either they stop these incursions or we will.
We can get the forces we need from Asia; let's bring home the 38,000 troops protecting South Korea's border and station them along our border. Then, when Mexican military units armed with Browning 50-caliber machine guns breach our borders, they will be met by the superior firepower of the U.S. Army.
Mexican army Humvees are no match for American M1A1 Abrams tanks and Bradley Fighting Vehicles.
Mexican infantry is no match for U.S. Army and Marine Corps veterans.
Well-armed, battle-hardened U.S. combat troops should pretty much end incursions into our country.
If anyone needs to be "arrested," the Border Patrol can do that. If the ACLU is still not OK with that, to hell with them. This is about as "national security" as it gets.
I voted for President Bush - twice - but if he doesn't act now, when he has clear authority and a mandate to do so, he is not fit to be commander in chief.

SEC. 605. THE UNIFORMED DIVISION, UNITED STATES SECRET SERVICE.
(a) In General- Chapter 203 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by inserting after section 3056 the following:
`Sec. 3056A. Powers, authorities, and duties of United States Secret Service Uniformed Division
`(a) There is hereby created and established a permanent police force, to be known as the `United States Secret Service Uniformed Division'. Subject to the supervision of the Secretary of Homeland Security, the United States Secret Service Uniformed Division shall perform such duties as the Director, United States Secret Service, may prescribe in connection with the protection of the following:
`(1) The White House in the District of Columbia.
`(2) Any building in which Presidential offices are located.
`(3) The Treasury Building and grounds.
`(4) The President, the Vice President (or other officer next in the order of succession to the Office of President), the President-elect, the Vice President-elect, and their immediate families.
`(5) Foreign diplomatic missions located in the metropolitan area of the District of Columbia.
`(6) The temporary official residence of the Vice President and grounds in the District of Columbia.
`(7) Foreign diplomatic missions located in metropolitan areas (other than the District of Columbia) in the United States where there are located twenty or more such missions headed by full-time officers, except that such protection shall be provided only--
`(A) on the basis of extraordinary protective need;
`(B) upon request of an affected metropolitan area; and
`(C) when the extraordinary protective need arises at or in association with a visit to--

THERE was ruin and terror in Manhattan, but, over the Hudson River in New Jersey, a handful of men were dancing. As the World Trade Centre burned and crumpled, the five men celebrated and filmed the worst atrocity ever committed on American soil as it played out before their eyes.

Who do you think they were? Palestinians? Saudis? Iraqis, even? Al-Qaeda, surely? Wrong on all counts. They were Israelis - and at least two of them were Israeli intelligence agents, working for Mossad, the equivalent of MI6 or the CIA.

Their discovery and arrest that morning is a matter of indisputable fact.


It has always been a long-accepted agreement among allies - such as Britain and America or America and Israel - that neither country will jail a "friendly spy" nor shame the allied country for espionage. Chip Berlet, a senior analyst at Boston's Political Research Associates and an expert in intelligence, says: "It's a backdoor agreement between allies that says that if one of your spies gets caught and didn't do too much harm, he goes home. It goes on all the time. The official reason is always visa violation."

What we are left with, then, is fact sullied by innuendo. Certainly, it seems, Israel was spying within the borders of the United States and it is equally certain that the targets were Islamic extremists probably linked to September 11. But did Israel know in advance that the Twin Towers would be hit and the world plunged into a war without end; a war which would give Israel the power to strike its enemies almost without limit? That's a conspiracy theory too far, perhaps. But the unpleasant feeling that, in this age of spin and secrets, we do not know the full and unadulterated truth won't go away. Maybe we can guess, but it's for the history books to discover and decide.

O'Neill is reported to have called FBI headquarters, and then re-entered one of the towers to help others. The official story is that O'Neill was inside when the buildings collapsed.

How convenient for the Bush administration that Mr. O'Neill would not only die in the attack, but also that he would make such a call. Not only was the Bush administration's most dangerous critic forever silenced, but he also provided the administration the perfect story to explain his death.

Documented plans of occupation and exploitation predating September 11 confirm heightened suspicion that U.S. policy is driven by the dictates of the energy industry. According to Judicial Watch President, Tom Fitton, "These documents show the importance of the Energy Task Force and why its operations should be open to the public."

When first assuming office in early 2001, President Bush's top foreign policy priority was not to prevent terrorism or to curb the spread of weapons of mass destruction--or any of the other goals he espoused later that year following 9-11. Rather, it was to increase the flow of petroleum from suppliers abroad to U.S. markets. In the months before he became president, the United States had experienced severe oil and natural gas shortages in many parts of the country, along with periodic electrical power blackouts in California. In addition, oil imports rose to more than 50% of total consumption for the first time in history, provoking great anxiety about the security of the country's long-term energy supply. Bush asserted that addressing the nation's "energy crisis" was his most important task as president.

The energy turmoil of 2000-01 prompted Bush to establish a task force charged with developing a long-range plan to meet U.S. energy requirements. With the advice of his close friend and largest campaign contributor, Enron CEO, Ken Lay, Bush picked Vice President Dick Cheney, former Halliburton CEO, to head this group. In 2001 the Task Force formulated the National Energy Policy (NEP), or Cheney Report, bypassing possibilities for energy independence and reduced oil consumption with a declaration of ambitions to establish new sources of oil.

The Bush Administration's struggle to keep secret the workings of Cheney's Energy Task Force has been ongoing since early in the President's tenure.

In the spring of 2001 the severity of the California energy emergency had inspired demands for government action, and Enron had a problem.

Enron CEO Kenneth Lay knew he needed high-level help. So he arranged to meet with a man who had headed a corporation with extensive business ties to Enron and who had been a prime recipient of Enron's political largesse. Vice President Dick Cheney cleared his calendar for an April 17 private meeting with Lay regarding what aides described as "energy policy matters" and "the energy crisis in California." At the meeting Lay handed Cheney a memo that read in part: "The administration should reject any attempt to re-regulate wholesale power markets by adopting price caps...."

The day after he met with Lay, Cheney gave a rare phone interview to the Los Angeles Times that had one recurrent theme: Price caps were out of the question. Dismissing the strategy as "short-term political relief for the politicians," Cheney bluntly declared, "I don't see that as a possibility."

Indeed, so close was the Cheney-Enron relationship that it is entirely reasonable to ask whether ethical and legal lines were crossed. That possibility offers the most realistic explanation for Cheney's refusal to disclose details of his Enron contacts to Congress.

Cheney's refusal to cooperate with investigators--which presidential historian Stanley Kutler refers to as part of a broad "assault on the legal and Constitutional order" by the Bush Administration--forms the most powerful argument for the appointment of a special counsel.

The BBC was told by Niaz Naik, a Pakistani Foreign Secretary, that senior American officials were warning them as early as mid-July, 2001 that military action for mid-October was being planned for Afghanistan.

Say what?

In 1996, the Department of Energy was issuing reports on the desirability of a pipeline through Afghanistan, and in 1998, Unocal testified before the House Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific that this pipeline was crucial to transport Caspian Basin oil to the Indian Ocean.
Such a plan would by necessity be a war plan, and this war plan was actually in place prior to 9/11.

Surely any good war plan requires at its core a starting point, a trigger if you will that provides a good "cover story" to implement it. Clearly you can't just go around invading countries without a good reason...you need to be attacked first, then retaliate.

Was 9/11 simply part of the war plan?

Why wouldn't it have been?

You can't hit the "GO" button without a pretext.

9/11 was the pretext for the invasion of the Middle East - all by design.

So the implementation of such a plan would require BY NECESSITY the implementation of a FALSE FLAG ATTACK ON THE UNITED STATES of such magnitude that it would rival the attack by the Japanese on Pearl Harbor thereby invoking the Pavlovian response which resulted.

If you were looking for anyone to pull off the perfect False Flag Operation on your behalf, there is only one place you would look...Israel's Mossad.

The so-called Energy Crisis in California was entirely fabricated of whole cloth by none other than Ken Lay's Enron - in concert with Poppie Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and even Alan Greenspan.

The Bush administration requested, and Congress rejected, war-making authority "in the United States" in negotiations over the joint resolution passed days after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, according to an opinion article by former Senate majority leader Thomas A. Daschle (D-S.D.) in today's Washington Post.

Daschle's disclosure challenges a central legal argument offered by the White House in defense of the National Security Agency's warrantless wiretapping of U.S. citizens and permanent residents. It suggests that Congress refused explicitly to grant authority that the Bush administration now asserts is implicit in the resolution.

A counterintelligence investigation by the FBI concluded that at least two of them were in fact Mossad operatives, according to the former American official, who said he was regularly briefed on the investigation by two separate law enforcement officials.

"The assessment was that Urban Moving Systems was a front for the Mossad and operatives employed by it," he said. "The conclusion of the FBI was that they were spying on local Arabs but that they could leave because they did not know anything about 9/11."

However, he added, the bureau was "very irritated because it was a case of so-called unilateral espionage, meaning they didn't know about it."

Spokesmen for the FBI, the Justice Department and the Immigration and Naturalization Service refused to discuss the case. Israeli officials flatly dismissed the allegations as untrue.

However, the former American official said that after American authorities confronted Jerusalem on the issue at the end of last year, the Israeli government acknowledged the operation and apologized for not coordinating it with Washington.

The five men -- Sivan and Paul Kurzberg, Oded Ellner, Omer Marmari and Yaron Shmuel -- were arrested eight hours after the attacks by the Bergen County, N.J., police while driving in an Urban Moving Systems van.

'A Scary Situation' Steven Gordon, the attorney for the five Israeli detainees, acknowledged that his clients' actions on Sept. 11 would easily have aroused suspicions. "You got a group of guys that are taking pictures, on top of a roof, of the World Trade Center. They're speaking in a foreign language. They got two passports on 'em. One's got a wad of cash on him, and they got box cutters. Now that's a scary situation."

While many have denied these events occurred, note these Mainstream Media accounts:

Since their arrest, plenty of speculation has swirled about the case, and what the five men were doing that morning. Eventually, The Forward, a respected Jewish newspaper in New York, reported the FBI concluded that two of the men were Israeli intelligence operatives.

Vince Cannistraro, a former chief of operations for counterterrorism with the CIA who is now a consultant for ABCNEWS, said federal authorities' interest in the case was heightened when some of the men's names were found in a search of a national intelligence database.

Israeli Intelligence Connection?

According to Cannistraro, many people in the U.S. intelligence community believed that some of the men arrested were working for Israeli intelligence. Cannistraro said there was speculation as to whether Urban Moving had been "set up or exploited for the purpose of launching an intelligence operation against radical Islamists in the area, particularly in the New Jersey-New York area."

According to ABC's 20/20, when the van belonging to the cheering Israelis was stopped by the police, the driver of the van, Sivan Kurzberg, told the officers:

"We are Israelis. We are not your problem. Your problems are our problems. The Palestinians are your problem."

The police and FBI field agents became very suspicious when they found maps of the city with certain places highlighted, box cutters (the same items that the hijackers supposedly used), $4700 cash stuffed in a sock, and foreign passports. Police also told the Bergen Record that bomb sniffing dogs were brought to the van and that they reacted as if they had smelled explosives.

The FBI seized and developed their photos, one of which shows Sivan Kurzberg flicking a cigarette lighter in front of the smouldering ruins in an apparently celebratory gesture.

The Jerusalem Post later reported that a white van with a bomb was stopped as it approached the George Washington Bridge, but the ethnicity of the suspects was not revealed. Here's what the Jerusalem Post reported on September 12, 2001:

American security services overnight stopped a car bomb on the George Washington Bridge. The van, packed with explosives, was stopped on an approach ramp to the bridge. Authorities suspect the terrorists intended to blow up the main crossing between New Jersey and New York, Army Radio reported.

TCM Breaking News reported that the van was laden down with tonnes of explosives (13).

What's really intriguing is that ABC's 20/20, the New York Post, and the New Jersey Bergen Record all clearly and unambiguously reported that a white van with Israelis was intercepted on a ramp near Route 3, which leads directly to the Lincoln Tunnel.

But the Jerusalem Post, Israeli National News (Arutz Sheva), and Yediot America, all reported, just as clearly and unambiguously, that a white van with Israelis was stopped on a ramp leading to the George Washington Bridge, which is several miles north of the Lincoln Tunnel.

It appears as if there may actually have been two white vans involved, one stopped on each crossing. This would not only explain the conflicting reports as to the actual location of the arrests, but would also explain how so many credible eye-witnesses all saw celebrating "middle-easterners" in a white van in so many different locations. It also explains why the New York Post and Steve Gordon (lawyer for the 5 Israelis) originally described how three Israelis were arrested but later increased the total to five.

From there, the story gets becomes even more suspicious. The Israelis worked for a Weehawken moving company known as Urban Moving Systems. An American employee of Urban Moving Systems told the The Record of New Jersey that a majority of his co-workers were Israelis and they were joking about the attacks.

The employee, who declined to give his name said: "I was in tears. These guys were joking and that bothered me. These guys were like, "Now America knows what we go through."

A few days after the attacks, Urban Moving System's Israeli owner, Dominick Suter, dropped his business and fled the country for Israel. He was in such a hurry to flee America that some of Urban Moving System's customers were left with their furniture stranded in storage facilities.

It was later confirmed that the five detained Israelis were in fact Mossad agents. They were held in custody for 71 days before being quietly released. Some of the movers had been kept in solitary confinement for 40 days.

Several of the detainees discussed their experience in America on an Israeli talk show after their return home.

Said one of the men, denying that they were laughing or happy on the morning of Sept. 11, "The fact of the matter is we are coming from a country that experiences terror daily. Our purpose was to document the event."

How did they know there would be an event to document on 9/11?
In fact, he said, the nature of the investigation changed after the names of two of the five Israelis showed up on a CIA-FBI database of foreign intelligence operatives, he said. At that point, he said, the bureau took control of the investigation and launched a Foreign Counterintelligence Investigation, or FCI.

FBI investigations into possible links to the September 11 attacks are usually carried by the bureau's counterterrorism division, not its counterintelligence division.

"An FCI means not only that it was serious but also that it was handled at a very high level and very tightly," the former official said. That view was echoed by several former FBI officials interviewed.

According to ABCNEWS sources, Israeli and U.S. government officials worked out a deal -- and after 71 days, the five Israelis were taken out of jail, put on a plane, and deported back home.

The men all underwent at least two polygraph tests each, the lawyer added. He said one of the Israelis took the test seven times, a very unusual total according to several polygraph experts interviewed by the Forward. All failed their tests.

Wouldn't it be enlightening to hear that Lay knew for a fact that 9/11 was going to happen as the pretext for the war plan which he clearly had knowledge of prior to 9/11?

Why would you sit around countless energy planning meetings dividing up the oil fields of Iraq in advance of 9/11 unless there were a plan in place to make it possible?

Such a plan would by necessity be a war plan, and this war plan was actually in place prior to 9/11.

Surely any good war plan requires at its core a starting point, a trigger if you will that provides a good "cover story" to implement it. Clearly you can't just go around invading countries without a good reason...you need to be attacked first, then retaliate.
