Preliminary Schedule

Morning - Bodypainting party for those who wish to make their own "minimums" or get painted up. Bring your own body paint, supplies, and bring an artist buddy to paint you up. Please use NON-TOXIC paint.

11:30 AM - 12 Noon - Meet at Gasworks Park, at the south end of Seattle's Wallingford District.

12 Noon (sharp) - Begin ride on Burke Gilman Trail after leaving Gasworks Park, then proceed to the Fremont District, cross under the Aurora Bridge/Highway 99, go under Fremont Bridge, turn right/North to go up Phinney Ave North two blocks to N 36th Street (arterial), go East/right on 36th towards Fremont Ave. This is the Center of Fremont (or the Center of the Universe as the locals say) as marked by a sign in the median that you pass (to your left), stay right at intersection of N 35th/36th and Fremont Ave.

Turn right and proceed southbound on Fremont Ave., after a block you may see the famous Waiting for the Interurban sculpture on your left, continue south across the Fremont Bridge into the Queen Anne District.

Go down Dexter Ave N. (or we may go down Westlake to avoid the hill and have a better view of Lake Union) as you enter the Westlake portion of the Cascade District, continue to the Seattle Center. Enter the campus along Harrison
Street (between the Experience Music Project (EMP) and Memorial Stadium. Make a brief stop at the Seattle Center's International Fountain and then leave.

After Ride Party - Info to be announced.

I'm so sure

I'm so sure that we live in a time where it is just as risky for a man to bare it all than a woman in public. We live in times of such great gender equality that the climate is perfect for this sort of event. Just kidding, guys. As a woman who loves to be naked, I am opting to not go to this naked ride, mostly because it ignores the fact that women's bodies are treated as advertising currency, social canvasses and objects, and no naked cycle empowerment can change that fact. If you really cared about me and my body, you'd do a whole lot more for me than invite me to get nekkid with you. Fuck this patriarchial system. And don't even post with "the men will be exposed too"---don't you get it?
I get cat called enough when I'm clothed on a bike, thanks. Asses.

Look guys there are more fish in the sea, the key is to not act too nerdy. Now I want everyone to pump up with some weights before the ride to look more muscular, then casualy comment on the chilly weather.

Wear a gold medalion on a gold chain while your riding it works every time.

If that doesnt work just impress her with your ability to perform thermodynamic modeling from memory. You know the coefficient of expansion as related to chilly outdoor temperatures.

effective action?

isn't there more effective things we as progressives/revolutionaries could be doing than alienating ourselves from everyday people?

Look, it doesn't matter if women's bodies are advertising character, it does not take away from their natural human nature, and natural equivalence in regards to nakedness with male bodies.

To not participate because you think it is unfair to women is to be sexist yourself. YOU ARE NOT A VICTIM. Wait a second - isn't that what conservatives always say? Screw that! You are a victim. Don't go outside, don't let men see you, you are just currency for thier evil ways. Just put a sheet over yourself and don't let anyone see you, ever. There, now I'm liberal again, and have something in common with radical Islam. All hail the burka! Keeper of women's bodies!

"To not participate because you think it is unfair to women is to be sexist yourself. "

This statement makes no sense at all. What is your point?
