United for Peace and Justice is a coalition of more than 1400 local and national groups throughout the United States who have joined together to protest the immoral and disastrous Iraq War and oppose our government's policy of permanent warfare and empire-building.


2 Code Pink
CODEPINK is a women-initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, stop new wars, and redirect our resources into healthcare, education, green jobs and other life-affirming activities. CODEPINK rejects foreign policies based on domination and aggression, and instead calls for policies based on diplomacy, compassion and a commitment to international law. With an emphasis on joy and humor, CODEPINK women and men seek to activate, amplify and inspire a community of peacemakers through creative campaigns and a commitment to non-violence.

3 American Friends Service Commitee
The American Friends Service Committee carries out service, development, social justice, and peace programs throughout the world. Founded by Quakers in 1917 to provide conscientious objectors with an opportunity to aid civilian war victims, AFSC's work attracts the support and partnership of people of many races, religions, and cultures.


AFSC's work is based on the Quaker belief in the worth of every person and faith in the power of love to overcome violence and injustice.

Ground Zero Center for Nonviolent Action is a 3.8 acre piece of land in Kitsap county which shares 330 feet of fence with Trident nuclear submarine base. Ground Zero carries out a program of nonviolent action and reflection including discussion evenings, weekend retreats, leafleting of the base workers, and civil disobedience actions.

5 Madres contra la Guerra
Madres Contra la Guerra is a pacifist and anit-militarist organization based in Puerto Rico whose mission is set within the context of the defense of human rights of our sons and daughters in the military as well as those of the sons and daughters of the Iraqis and Afghans. The site is in Spanish.
