Courage to Resist Courage to Resist is a group of concerned community members, veterans, and military families.
Courage to Resist is motivated by a "people power" strategy that we believe can weaken the pillars that maintain war and occupation in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere. By supporting GI resistance, counter-recruitment, and draft resistance, we hope to diminish the number of troops available for unjust war and occupation

Iraq Veterans Against the War From its inception, IVAW has called for:
■ Immediate withdrawal of all occupying forces in Iraq;
■ Reparations for the human and structural damages Iraq has suffered, and stopping the corporate pillaging of Iraq so that their people can control their own lives and future; and
■ Full benefits, adequate healthcare (including mental health), and other supports for returning servicemen and women.
Our membership includes recent veterans and active duty servicemen and women from all branches of military service, National Guard members, and reservists who have served in the United States military since September 11, 2001.

War Resisters Support Campaign The War Resisters Support Campaign is a broad-based coalition of community, faith, labour and other organizations and individuals that have come together to support U.S. soldiers seeking asylum in Canada because they refuse to fight in the illegal war in Iraq.

Appeal For Redress Many active duty, Reserve, and Guard service members are concerned about the war in Iraq and support the withdrawal of U.S. troops. The Appeal for Redress provides a way in which individual service members can appeal to their Congressional Representative and US Senators to urge an end to the U.S. military occupation.

Central Committee for Conscientious Objectors The publisher of Getting Out: A Guide to Military Discharges, the Central Committee for Conscientious Objectors (CCCO) supports conscientious objectors and promotes individual and collective resistance to war and preparations for war.

National Lawyers Guild Military Law Task Force The National Lawyers Guild Military Law Task Force assists those working on military law issues as well as military law counselors working directly with GIs. It trains and mentors counselors and beginning military law attorneys in all aspects of military law through training materials and direct communication. It updates changes in military law and policy.

The Quaker House The Quaker House is located in Fayetteville, NC. It is home to the "Truth in Recruiting" campaign and has a variety of resources for resisters, both past and present.

GI Voice G.I. Voice is a website for service members, their families, and veterans around Fort Lewis to gather and share information. It is also a resource for those facing problems with service.

Seattle Draft and Military Counseling Center The purpose of the Seattle Draft and Military Counseling Center is to provide accurate, comprehensive, and objective information about Selective Service, military law, military regulations, and administrative procedures to anyone in need of this service, and to assist them in applying this information to their own situation and goals.
SDMCC also supports conscientious objectors and promotes individual and collective resistance to war and preparations for war. The Seattle Draft and Military Counseling Center is a non-governmental, non-profit organization supporting GI's since 1969. The information shared with a counselor is privileged communication and will not be released to anyone without permission of the counselee.
